THE IGNORANT DANGER OF BLOOD COVENANT
Aisha and Kunle were deeply in love and cherished each other
greatly.Because of their fondness,they vowed to keep the fire of
their love burning forever.In order to be sure of their commitment
to each other,Aisha suggested they pierce each other's skin with a needle
to extract blood which they licked for the agreement.
All this happened during their high school days in the village.But as fate
would have it,Aisha's aunt came from the city with promises of better
offers concerning her education in the city.
Not wanting to leave Kunle but persuasively,with a word to always keep
in touch,she departed for the city to further her education.Kunle on his part
continued with life in the village and after a few years was opportune d to travel
out of the country.Both lost touch and contacts with time and were unable to
keep their vows.
Kunle went on to become a successful banker,every ladies choice for a husband
as a young man but found relationships stressful because of so many break-ups,
while Aisha on her part with a budding career in the legal practice got married
but was unable to have children.
None was religious between the two but had people who took their cases up
respectively.On a sunny afternoon,Kunle's aunt implored him to follow her see
a minister of God which he reluctantly agreed to.During prayers,it was revealed
to the Pastor that he was the architect of his own misfortune which he rebuffed.
But after deep thinking and serious deliberation,he remembered the nefarious act
which he ignorantly agreed to was the cause of his delay and frustration.
The Pastor explained the harm in the act he got involved in,that by agreeing to suck
each other's blood,they had took part in blood covenant.Here was he single,successful
but confused and frustrated.Though he could not locate Aisha but recent reports about
her also stated that she was still childless though wealthy.
After marathon prayers,fasting and counseling,he was delivered and started a new relationship
which metamorphosed into marriage.Not too long after that his wife had children and
things got better for him.
WHAT IS BLOOD COVENANT?Blood covenant is  an agreement,oath,vow or bond between
two people enacted with blood by whatever means or for whatever reason.Simply state,it is
an agreement based on blood.
